Question 3 (GROUP) - Audience
Me and my partner Kento decided that this film would be targeted for teenager and adult as the film tries to portray the life of an everyday teenager in school who are specifically gamer's. I have showed a few people from our school and asked them what they thought about the film.
Bruce and Diana Wade (my parents) said that "we like the story, good story flow, it scared your mom abit with the sound effects when the naked boy came inside the room. i can see the work, maybe if when the main character came back from looking outside of the door there could have been maybe a message in the screen telling him to leave immediately and don't come back, good sound effects, need to improve the lighting,"
Tim McDonald - " good points were, half the movie were equilibrium, i like the change of the scenery and the tension build up form minimal to something scary, sounds, Kento smiled at the camera which needs to be removed as it is not designed for stage, it distract's from the suspense, some of the shots were long e.g. the door closing and maybe some activity of paranormal, think it was quite nice, bit more light effects, good story line, scared me for a while there."
Our target audience can be compared to paranormal activity Paranormal Activity is aimed primarily at a younger audience of around 15-25. The main characters are of a younger age and this makes the film feel more realistic to that age group as teens can relate to the experiences easier, making the film scarier in the process. However, the film series carry on one story throughout, meaning that older fans of the first films will be drawn in as they may have an interest or curiosity about the story aspect of the film. The film has a similarity towards our one as they both end with the main characters dying but before death things happen that they cant explain.
